We have included this page on our website as a way for us to share some books we like with our clients. Managing wealth is about more than managing investments. It is also about how we maintain our health, our relationships, how we are connected to our community, family, and loved ones. There are many aspects to wealth, and we offer these books as a way to open up conversation on these topics. We encourage our clients to share with us books they have found useful or provocative, and we may include them on this list.
I have recently enjoyed a very positive program on BBC American Television, called The Choir. It is about a young choirmaster, Gareth Malone, who has decided it is his mission to bring the joy of music and singing to schools and communities in England that do not have a history of music. You can learn more about the program at:

What should we have for dinner? Michael Pollan researched this question to understand the current state of the foods we see today in our supermarkets and in the wild. It is a fascinating story of how our food is produced, from industrial to organic food, to what you can find in nature. The way food is produced brings up many surprising political, economic, and even moral implications. A book you will want to read, and may change the way you eat.

Younger Next Year: We think this is a great book for anyone 45 years and up. Who wants to get older every year? Wiser is always nice but all of us would like to stay young and fit, throughout our lives. This book has some great ideas on not just living a great life, but actually feeling younger each year.

This is a fine book written by a medical doctor who survived cancer. As a medical professional, he thought there might be a way for all of us to avoid ever getting cancer, if we made some changes to our diet. If we follow his recommendations maybe we never will have to face that dreaded diagnosis of, "you have cancer".

If you are confused about the US current financial situation, this is a great read. This book is a tough-minded, innovative, inspiring guide to help us avoid the approaching economic abyss and put the country back on track again. Even for those who are not students of the economy, this book will leave you better informed and give you thoughts of how we might move forward. The author, David Walker, was former comptroller general of the United States and head of the Government Accountability Office (GAO)—"the nation's top auditor".

How does one accumulate wealth? This book has some great ideas on millionaires and their saving and spending habits that could benefit all of us.

Seven time Tour de France winner, Lance Armstong writes his story about surviving cancer. It is an amazing story and can give hope to us if we are going through struggles in life, including cancer.

This book is about his sixth Tour de France victory and has some great behind-the-scenes stories of the 2003 Tour de France. A great read for anyone interested in how Lance could be so consistent in winning six tours (and ultimately seven tours) in a row.

Dan Sullivan is a coach and teacher. He has a coaching program I have been in for the past nine years. This book shares some of the teachings we have been using in the program. A great read for how to always be moving forward in your life.

A book about how a family can pass on not only its wealth, but the practices and ideas that allowed the family to accumulate that wealth. No matter what level of wealth your family has accumulated, this book shares some ideas about how to pass your values and beliefs to the next generation.

A thoughful book about life, and how we could all relate to one another.

A story of one man's efforts to bring education to the remotest regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is an inspiring story of committment and dedication.
