Principal Wealth Advisor

John R. Brant is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)  with more than eighteen years of experience helping clients achieve their financial goals. He specializes in working with people who are planning their retirement and retired clients who want to preserve and grow their assets. He holds NASD Series 24, Series 7, Series 66, Series 63 and a Life, Health and Disability License through the California Department of Insurance (License #0B00507).
 
A Graduate of U.C. Berkeley in 1972 with a degree in architecture, John owned his own business in Ventura for eighteen years before becoming a financial advisor. He believes strongly in the power of helping others through volunteering in the community. One of John’s favorite organizations is the Ventura Boys & Girls Club. He was on the Board of Directors for fifteen years, including a term as president, and currently serves on the Emeritus Board. John volunteers weekly at the club’s Robert Addison Center site, teaching juggling and unicycling, and acting as a mentor. In 2008, he was named Ventura Boys & Girls Club Volunteer of the Year at the Robert Addison Center.
 
John is a member of the Downtown Rotary Club, where he initiated the Gold Coast Ride for Literacy, a bicycle ride that raises money for Rotary and the Adult Literacy Program. He is past president and past treasurer of the Ventura County Bar Association CPA/Law Society. He sits on the Advisory Board of the Focus On The Masters and is a long-time member of Toastmasters International.
 
In 2006, John was a recipient of the Jefferson Award, ­one of the nation’s top honors for community commitment and service. In 2008 he was a finalist in the mentoring category for the Investment News Community Leadership Award, which drew nominations from all across the United States. On January 1, 2009 John completed a 600 mile/6 day bicycle ride down the coast of California to celebrate his 60th birthday. The ride raised over $7,000.00 for the Ventura Boys & Girls Club. In October, 2009, he competed in cycling events at the Huntsman World Senior Games, in St. George, Utah, and won two gold medals.
 
John is a third-generation resident of Ventura County. His hobbies include juggling, photography, travel and bicycling. His wife Cherie is a published author whose works include newspaper and magazine articles and three books on Ventura County history.

 

 

Client Service Manager

In her role as Client Service Manager, Tami Moshier delivers to our clients a broad spectrum of knowledge, in the financial services industry. Tami has worked with a full range of financial service firms and institutions in her 25 year career including Chase, Mellon, and GE.  She has collaborated with numerous divisions within these organizations, to establish internal processes and procedures benefitting the client base. Tami holds the FINRA Series 6 license.

Tami presents a light hearted, sincere, and well organized persona, and is always prepared to assist you with anything you may need.  She lives in Ventura with her dachshunds Cody and Jazmine. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to good music, preparing good food, and doing good things for those in need.
